Welcome...DOOM DOOM DOOM! ...Words
Personally, I believe that touching everything in a store as I walk by and going penguin sledding is far more fun and creative than stalking a personal and graphic resource site. But if you’d rather the idea of stalking and claiming things as your own…That’s fine by me (except for the latter). Be you a digital artist, photographer, visual artist, film maker, animator, customizer or artisan. Be you a designer, cartoonist, writer, programmer or just an enthusiast. You’re welcome to exclusive high quality graphic art ranging from avatars to wallpapers to resources for the everyday designer. This is my asylum and you’re not welcome any time. Making Cadenza & whats the html code for a social life

It started in September, when I decided: You know what. This year, I'm actually going to make something portfolio-worthy. I'm gonna work on a film, with an actual story that is told. It won't be half-assed. I'm gonna work hard.

From then, I totally forgot about me wanting to make a movie at all. Then, I met a girl in November 2011. She was playing the violin in a stairwell - she's two years younger than I - and she was great, obviously, and I kind of got inspired. I told her about this thing I wanted to do - which was create a portfolio-worthy film. She was interested. We became friends. And then, we barely talked about the film.

After the break, in January, we started to share ideas. Those ideas all focused on disorders ranging from: anorexia, bulimia, trichotillomania, schizophrenia...a lot. But, those topics seemed too sensitive, so, I kind of left them alone and I didn't have a story until the first week of March. It was a Friday night. I was trying to come up with more ideas with my friend on Facebook, and through a reply post...I wrote about 1600 words for a short film. The story came to me. An alternative, high school chick with a language barrier who played the violin and had a finnish accent. Yup, that sounded about right. So, I transferred the story into a formal screenplay (which took about 1.5 weeks).

The notes of a violin piece begins. A silhouette of Rae appears on stage. Her black fingernails dance across the fingerboard. Her eyes are closed. She wears buckled boots, tights and a black dress. A building of applause breaks out throughout the auditorium.

RAE (V.O)

And when I finished playing, I opened my eyes. And maybe...just, maybe...for this moment...it felt, like the world opened theirs too. For once (beat) I felt welcome.

Rae doesn't smile, but it comes close to one. Her eyes are brighter. Dan stands and claps, a small smile on his face. Rae simply stares back.

Of course, for this scene, that isn't all translated in the actual film. But, anyhow, after writing the screenplay...I did 3 different days of filming for hours each day with Jess (my friend and lead), Teo (this dude, who plays a dude, who probably thinks he's funny), and Dave (positive, positive, positive pwnsomeness). We managed to finish - I keep typing finish as 'finnish' now because of this film - and I had _______ amount of footage. A lot and yet, not enough, to work with. film

Last week, beside my little cousins, I drowned myself in editing. 25 hours of editing. 5 hours of sleep for 3 weeks. 2 hours of sleep last Monday. Insanity (which is why I wasn't functioning this week at all and I literally collapsed on Tuesday sleep).

But, I finished. And, I hope it gets into ZOOM and I hope that it is Tisch-worthy (not even sure about the number of films I can submit for my app/portfolio) and I hope those who watch it...enjoy the hardwork the entire cast and crew put into this film. Even the people I constantly bugged, including my father who did most of the sound recording before his flight to Miami. So, yay! yay

2012 Summer Movie List: Martial Arts & Star Wars

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooh! I just watched the third episode of Legend of Korra and it was - of course - BLOODY AWESOME! PWNSOME! OMG! Yes. Yes, I love you. I love you Bryke. I love you Lin Bei Fong who did not appear in this episode. And I love you Ikki. Okay. Okay.

I've been far far away from many places in my life for the past few weeks. I've been working on a film for the Zoom Film Fest and after 25 hours of editing, my body is trying to adjust back into the human world. With that said, I haven't been in Karate for 2 months now. I've been half-wake, occasionaly-absent in school lately. I've been scolded by "friends" or moody losers about my business...like, dude, back off. I'm working on getting things under control...again. And, then, of course I like to semi-neglect this website. But! I've made some changes (of course you noticed, why wouldn't you notice...bah...nyan cat).

It's been pretty stressful, crazy, got a lot of last-minute stuyding to do tomorrow (I'm still so out of it)...amidst all of this chaos, I have finally decided to tackle Star Wars. Finally. I know I'm late. But, omg, it is amazing. It is...omg. I can't even...Why didnt?...Omg. I'm crying, actually, I have so much more to see, but Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope...I loved it. I love it. Can't wait to watch 5-6, then 1-3.

As for the rest of my summer movies list (I also have a book list, but, I'll post that some time near the end of June - July) - it involves a LOT of modern Martial Arts films. Yes, I am finally allowing myself to let go, just a little, on my 60-70s Marital Arts films...I really am. I'm actually gonna see stuff of the 2000s+. This list also includes general films from the Chinese/Japanese Cinema.

Unexpected interruption: WAIT. OH HECK NO. NO. Luke...freaking...Hamill...Skywalker...voice acts...my husband - Firelord Ozai. No. No. I can't breathe. Someone...just...funeral music...I'm dead. I can't even - too many feels, omg -ugly sobs - ohhno

Day one: A facial feature you like on yourself?

Self-Esteem Challenge: Okay! I'm doing this for various reasons and they're all positive reasons...but, anyhow, I'm doing this.

I really like my eyes. They're almond-shaped and I can do anything to accentuate them. They help build the structure of my face, along with my eyebrows. I really like them. They are kind of boring in colour - dark brown (I've always loved green), but they have a pretty shape. flirt
